Protecting the authors and editors

Assucopie

Assucopie is a Belgian collective management organization that safeguards the copyright of educational, scientific, and academic authors, particularly for reprography, public lending, and private copying. Established in 1999, it collects and distributes royalties via umbrella bodies Reprobel and Auvibel, serving more than 3,000 members. Beyond financial aspects, it advises authors on publishing contracts, taxation, and guides teachers and researchers on copyright, plagiarism, and open access. The website provides official documents, FAQs, regulations, and key figures to ensure clarity and transparency. Its mission combines legal protection, practical support, and awareness in a digital era where the risk of infringement is rising.

Read the brief

Assucopie needed a website where complex legal topics could be communicated simply. I handled the full build — structuring content, integrating official documents, FAQs, and key figures — and created a member area for authors. The design and development were driven by clarity and accessibility, making information easy to find for both professionals and the public.
